Check what each quoted piece includes

01 / Garment

Composition and construction

Request fiber content, fabric weight in gsm, sleeve length and seam arrangement for the proposed style. A photograph cannot establish stretch recovery, abrasion behavior or a sun-protection rating. If a performance claim matters to your program, request exact-item test evidence and review its scope before repeating it.

02 / Size run

Fit is a measured decision

Separate body measurements from finished-garment dimensions. Ask which points of measure, units and tolerances the supplier uses. An adult size run, youth range and close-fitting competition cut should be priced and sampled on their stated patterns rather than treated as interchangeable.

03 / Artwork

Approve placement and revision

List panel coverage, colors, logos and label requirements. Compare a printed sample with the approved artwork revision and fit sample. A screen image is an artwork reference; it does not confirm production color, seam alignment or performance after use and care.

04 / Pack basis

Count by size and destination

Give pieces per size and colorway, individual pack needs and the US delivery location. Ask whether samples, artwork preparation, labels, cartons and freight are included. A lower unit price can reflect omitted work or a different pack ratio, so preserve those differences in the quote ledger.

Three buyer routes, different open questions

Academy and team purchasing

Record participants by size, training activity, sleeve preference and artwork ownership. Confirm any event-specific design conditions with the relevant organizer. We do not infer competition acceptance from a product name.

Map the program

Retail assortment

Keep SKU, colorway, label and pack counts separate. Ask for a documented size chart before planning the assortment. A sample in one size does not establish grading across the whole range.

Private-label development

Identify the approved cut and decoration method before comparing development charges. Keep requested changes visible so a similar existing style is not silently substituted for the intended garment.

Add target timing, an optional budget with currency and per-piece or whole-order basis, and a premium, mid-range, budget or undecided supplier preference. These are buying priorities, not verified supplier ratings. Quotes, availability and timing require supplier confirmation.
